MeeT OUR COACHES

Katelyn Dalgardno (Crossfit L1 Trainer)

After having my first child in 2013 at 27 years old, I realized I had developed lifestyle habits which were not healthy or sustainable. I had become less active, gained weight, and experienced a deterioration in both physical and mental health to the point that it was time to take action.

After being cleared by my doctor to start exercising again after my baby was born, I started CrossFit. I found not only an amazing method of pursuing very high levels of fitness, but also a community, and some of my best and closest friends.

Wanting to take a greater role in helping others in the same way I was helped so much by CrossFit, I received my CF Kids cert in 2018 in order to help Hyalite start kid-specific CrossFit classes. I coached kids' classes primarily until recently. I received my Level 1 Trainer Certificate in early 2022, and  have found a passion for encouraging, empowering, and helping others make incremental changes toward great health as a CrossFit coach.

Kaitlyn Macdonald (CrossFit L1 Trainer)

I was born and raised in central California, where I grew up with an amazing family and a lot of sports. I’ve been involved in sports my entire life, mostly playing soccer!

I took my skill and passion for soccer to the college level, and played for two different NAIA schools. I graduated  from Corban University in Oregon. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education and later a masters degree as well.

I was introduced to Crossfit when I took my first teaching job in Indonesia.  I lived there for three years teaching, playing soccer, crossfitt”ing”, and traveling as much as possible. I’ll never forget my first WOD...KAREN. I was incredibly sore…what a reality check that was! I was excited to start CrossFit and have more structure and routine with my health and fitness.  I was looking for a community of people to connect with and that is exactly what I found. Years later, Crossfit introduced me to some of my greatest friends, my husband, and now this amazing Hyalite Crossfit community! I am forever grateful!
My heart is with the kids and teens, I enjoy getting to know them and building a connection with them while helping them meet their fitness goals and have fun ! I enjoy mixing my love of teaching with Crossfit !

Bailey Stauffer (Crossfit L2 Trainer)

I was born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky. Growing up I was an All-star cheerleader and competed in rodeos.

After my first year of college in 2018, I needed to work on both my physical and mental health, so I decided to join my cousin’s CrossFit gym. I fell in love with the community, the methodology, the competitiveness, and the ability to always grow. When I went back to school in the fall, I joined CrossFit Old School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. There I was able to see and understand how much a coach can impact members, and that’s something I wanted to do. I got my level 1 in 2020, and started my coaching career.

I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture and animal science. Following graduation I got a seasonal job working in Yellowstone National Park. I wanted to continue when I went back to Kentucky, so I decided to get my Level 2. I had another seasonal position in Big Sky, and moved back to Kentucky again. During my seasonal positions, I wasn’t able to be in the gym as much as I would’ve liked, and knew something was missing. In the spring of 2023, I relocated to Montana more permanently, and am very fortunate to have found that missing part in Hyalite and their community.
