Let's Work On Our Kipping Swing!
Mastering the Kipping Swing is a more important task than learning to do "Wiggling Pull-Ups," as some people call them. We do the Kipping Swing to master body control and to originate our movements from our core with balance.
Having the coordination, strength, and timing to keep our Kipping Swing balanced at all times will greatly improve our speed on Pull-Ups. In addition, it will make us far more capable of completing Chest-To-Bar Pull-Ups, Toes-To-Bar, Bar and Ring Muscle-Ups, and lots of swinging obstacles in your races this summer.
Beyond the bodyweight movements, mastery of the Kipping Swing also translates into confidence/speed/coordination/timing/etc. during our lifts - especially the Olympic lifts. This is primarily because of the body awareness and core strength it promotes.
With all of this in mind, show up today and we'll practice the Kipping Swing until your hands rip. Then we'll do a bunch of Pull-Ups for our workout.
