New Overhead Squat Cycle!
We will be starting our new Overhead Squat cycle this week by setting our 1 Rep Max Overhead Squat. It is important to keep in mind that this initial max is intended to be a reference point rather than a new world record.
We want to see how much weight you can safely and comfortably lift in an Overhead Squat today. Then, we will do 8 weeks of practice every Wednesday in order to improve our skills and abilities. After those 8 weeks, we will retest our maxes. If you committed to this cycle, you should see incredible results.
You can be certain that Brittney and I will both be going over the form of these movements thoroughly in class today and throughout the cycle. Our first focus through any cycle is to "SAFELY" lift the weights. That starts with proper form. We'll see you today for some beautiful form.
