Who Wants to Squat?!
I've said it a million times... Don't skip squat day! Today's workout is designed for long-term physical independence for every individual who completes it. It will translate into strength and coordination toward many of the major activities of daily living in your life.
In addition, you get to run 3/4 of a mile and do 60 Deadlifts at 225/155# (broken up into sets of course). Why wouldn't you want to do that?
Also, be sure to talk to your coaches about the GoRuck Challenges coming up in August. They are going to be incredibly difficult and fun in the way you sick-o's seem to crave. I was fortunate enough to participate in the GoRuck Selection in Bozeman last year, and it was an experience that I wouldn't trade for the world.
I can't describe to you how satisfying it is to find your physical and mental limits only to repeatedly break them down. This year, the events are team-based, which will make them even more fun. We have links to them in Tuesday's blog and on our Facebook page if you want more information.
