Today's classes are going to be heavy! Our lift is heavy Deadlifts, and our Met-Con is equally heavy. I'm telling you this because I want you to show up early and mobilize and warm-up extra.
Not only should your body be pretty sore from this week, but lifting heavy weights is something that should be done with a limber body. There is always a risk of injury in lifting weights, but lifting with tight/cold muscles is tempting injury.
Rolling out those tight muscles will help lengthen and smooth out the knots that have formed. In addition, dynamic stretching will warm and loosen your muscles and soft tissues fairly quickly.
These ideas will help keep your muscles and joints feeling better from each workout rather than tightening you up into an immovable ball of muscles. I don't think we want that.
