We will be doing Split Jerks to improve a portion of our Clean & Jerks. One thing that I've found to really help myself and many others in this lift is to envision it as a drop rather than a lift. What I mean is that your goal in this lift is not to press the weight up, but to push yourself underneath the weight. Then, once you are under the weight with it locked out, you can lift the weight upwards.
This idea is also really helpful during the Clean and the Snatch. Both movements, when done to a complete max, require a Squat in order to catch the weight. When working on these lifts, it helps to envision pulling yourself under the weight rather than pulling the weight up.
Don't forget, the most important aspect is still to make lots of noise so people have no choice but to notice your incredible lift.
Love you bye!
