Today is our Olympic Skill Practice day of the week now. We are doing Overhead Squats as a booster for your ability to perform the Snatch. When a Snatch is done to a proper max weight, it should require you to catch the lift in the bottom of an Overhead Squat. Therefore, we work on your strength/coordination/confidence/stability in this lift to maximize your ability during the Snatch.
In addition, this lift is great for everyday application because it develops an incredible amount of core strength and stability along with squatting power. The core stability is good for every physical movement you perform ever, and the squat is good for anytime you want to get down to or up off of a seat of any kind. You're welcome!
