Squats with Squats on Them!
As I say all the time, Squats translate into countless aspects of your daily life. If you enjoy being able to stand up out of chairs, for example, then Squats will help you maintain your physical independence in life.
It's easy for us to get caught up in the competition and PR's at the gym sometimes. It's always helpful for me to remind myself why I actually workout this way. I do this because it creates functional fitness that will keep me physically independent and capable for whatever I want to do with my life.
In addition, I plan to do this for the rest of my life in order to keep my independence as long as I can. The ultimate goal is to leave this Earth still able to take care of myself fully. I understand that isn't always the case and any amount of work cannot prevent the deterioration sometimes. Since I don't know how I will be going out, I'll stay as healthy and capable as possible along the way.
